For your first appointment a thorough medical history and facial assessment is conducted by myself. At this time we build a treatment plan together with consideration of your current concerns and aesthetic goals. You will then have a consultation with a doctor to ensure we have not missed anything and that it is safe to proceed with treatment. Depending on which area is treated some numbing cream may be applied before the procedure takes place to reduce pain. Then using a sterile technique your face will be disinfected and injections of dermal filler are placed using a fine needle or cannula. Post procedure an ice pack is usually applied to help reduce swelling and bruising, and you will be given post procedure care information and you'll be booked for a review appointment 2 weeks later.

Results can be seen instantly post treatment. However there may be some swelling presents which can last for a 3-10 days. The full effect from treatment and trues results will be seen at 2 weeks post.

The effects of treatments usually last up between 6-18 months depending on the area treated and the product used. Some people will metabolise the product more quickly than others and you may wish to have top-up treatments earlier to ensure you keep your desired results.

Generally speaking the dermal fillers used in clinic are among the safest in the world and serious complications are rare. Some common side effects you should expect are pain, swelling, bleeding and bruising at the injection site. This should settle within a week. And as with any treatment that penetrates the skin there is always a chance of infections. A more in depth discussion of risks and adverse effects will take place during your consent to treatment.

Yes this treatment can be combined with other cosmetic treatments such as anti-wrinkle injections, however most other procedures, such as skin needling, facials and waxing should wait until 2 weeks post.
